EP president to visit Palestinian territories and Israel

President of the European Parliament Jerzy Buzek will start a three-day official visit to the Palestinian territories and Israel on Sunday . According to a statement by his office, Buzek is scheduled to hold talks with a number of Palestinian and Israeli officials on means of reviving the Middle east peace process and the role played by EU in the region. During the visit, Buzek will as well discuss with UN officials the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, the statement added.
