Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry, who is currently visiting Belarus, handed over a message from President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko.
In his meeting with the Belarus president earlier Monday, Shoukry stressed Egypt's keenness on implementing joint agreements and programs, said Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid.
Lukashenko was pleased with economic reforms made by the Egyptian government, not to mention Cairo's balanced vision regarding regional crises, Abu Zeid added.
He told Shoukry Minsk pays great attention to its relations with Cairo, which is seen as a gate to the Arab world and Africa, the spokesman noted.
The meeting also focused on Egypt's vision regarding the situation in Syria, Libya, Yemen and Iraq, he said.
Shoukry also reviewed Egypt's efforts to revive peace talks between Israel and the Palestinians, Abu Zeid added.
The top diplomat told Lukashenko Egypt is looking forward to Belarus' support for negotiations to establish a free trade zone with the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), the spokesman said.
Shoukry highlighted an Egyptian desire to boost economic ties with Belarus in line with agreements reached by their countries' joint committee in May, Abu Zeid noted
