France expressed Tuesday its deep concern over the situation and ongoing battles in the Yemeni capital Sanaa, which led to the assassination of former Yemeni president Ali Abdullah Saleh.
Spokeswoman for the French Foreign Ministry said in press statements that the situation after the assassination of Saleh became more dangerous in Yemen.
She called on all parties of dispute to allow the delivery of humanitarian aid and to protect the people, as well as the city's infrastructure, explaining that these are commitments included in international humanitarian law.
In addition, she stressed that her country calls on all Yemeni parties involved in the conflict to resume unconditional negotiations in order to reach a permanent political settlement to the conflict.
