French Foreign Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault said that his country was hoping for specific answers for a couple of weeks from the US administration about its plans for the future of the situation in Syria.
He said after participating in a meeting of the member states of the international coalition against ISISI that the US also needs to firm up its approach to taking back Raqaa, the ISIS stronghold in Syria, according to the (CNN).
France considers that after the liberation of Raqaa, it should not be handed over to the Syrian regime but to the moderate opposition forces," Ayrault told a press conference following the meeting. He also called for more American direction on peace talks being organized by the UN in Geneva.
Earlier, the US-led coalition aircraft have for the first time carried out an airlift of allied fighters battling the (ISIS) group in Syria.
