Head of the Egyptian parliament foreign relations committee Ahmed Said said his talks with German officials were "fruitful".
In statements to MENA on Thursday, Said said he had talks with the deputy of the German national security adviser and several lawmakers.
Said stressed the depth of the Egyptian-German ties.
He highlighted the importance of parliamentary dialogue among states in the current period.
During the meetings, Said and his accompanying delegation posted the German side on the Egyptian government and parliament standpoint vis-a-vis several files, including the tourism and refugees dossiers.
The talks also tackled prickly issues, including the Libyan and Syrian crises as well as the Palestinian cause.
As for Wednesday's address of German Chancellor Angela Merkel at the parliament and her criticism of the Turkish premier's policy, Said said the German-Turkish relations are tensed and Egypt had cautioned Germany of the Turkish premier's policy several years ago.
He stressed Egypt's respect for the Turkish people, although the Turkish policy is against Egypt.
