His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa today received, at Al-Safriya Palace, newly-appointed Bahraini plenipotentiary Ambassador to the United States Shaikh Abdulla bin Rashid bin Abdulla Al-Khalifa who took his oath.
HM the King congratulated Shaikh Abdulla bin Rashid bin Abdulla Al-Khalifa and commended his competence in assuming this national responsibility, wishing him success in his new diplomatic duties.
He gave royal directives to the ambassador to consolidate Bahraini-US relations, which are based on mutual respect, understanding, coordination and cooperation towards achieving shared interests.
He directed the newly-appointed ambassador to look after the Bahraini community, heed their interests and meet their needs.
He commended the crucial role of ambassador in bolstering relations binding Bahrain with other brotherly and friendly countries, expanding joint cooperation and bolstering the Kingdom’s standing in the Arab and international arenas.
HM the King expressed Bahrain’s pride in its solid relations with the United States of America in all fields, commending the US-led pivotal role in strengthening global security, stability and peace.
The newly-appointed ambassador expressed deepest thanks and appreciation to HM the King, taking pride in the royal trust.
He said that the royal directives would be a catalyst for him to spare no effort to bolster cooperation between Bahrain and the United States.
