The Belgian Interior Ministry said Tuesday authorities withdrew IDs of five persons suspected of being prepared to join terrorist groups abroad, especially in Syria and Iraq.
Belgian Interior Minister Jan Jambon said the local laws allowed authorities to withdraw IDs of people planning to join terrorist groups abroad.
He added that rates of Belgians travel to fight in Syria dropped in recent months.
