Minister of State for Immigration Nabila Makram on Wednesday had talks with Cypriot Foreign Minister Ioannis Kasoulidis.
The meeting aimed at discussing a plan for connecting new expatriate generations with their homelands, said a statement issued by the Ministry of Immigration.
Egyptian Ambassador to Cyprus Mai Taha, who attended the meeting, noted that the plan would help enhance investment opportunities and boost tourism together with other domains of joint cooperation.
Egypt, Cyprus and Greece have signed a protocol in Nicosia on organizing a week for the two European countries' expatriate communities in the Egyptian port city of Alexandria.
