Commander of the Iranian Navy Habibollah Sayyari said Friday that three Iranian warships will head on Saturday to Russian coasts to hold joint navy drills previously agreed on with Russia.
Sayyari explained that the one-day drills aim to exchange expertise, adding that the warships will arrive at the Russian coasts in 48 hours and will remain there for three days.
He denied that the navy drills are linked to the recent US measures, asserting that the drills come as part of a program which was decided earlier.
