Jordan on Monday condemned the terror attack that targeted Muslim worshippers attending Ramadan night prayer (Tarawih) at Finsbury Park mosque in London late Sunday, killing one person and injuring at least ten others.
Minister of State for Media Affairs Mohammad Momani said that this heinous crime reveals the evil nature of these criminal groups that aim at flaming hatred among followers of the world’s religions.
Momani, who is also the government’s spokesperson, reiterated Jordan’s rejection of violence and terrorism, in all its shapes and forms, that aim at creating hatred and chaos.
The minister expressed Jordan’s solidarity with the UK in facing terrorist groups, calling for unifying international efforts to combat terrorism and counter extremist ideologies.
Momani expressed the government’s sympathy with the families of the victims.
