French President Emmanuel Macron met Tuesday with Jordanian King Abdullah II at Elysee Palace to discuss the latest developments in the Middle East, especially the situation concerning Jerusalem.
The French Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean-Yves Le Drian and France's Ambassador to Jordan David Bertolotti attended the meeting from the French side, whereas the Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman al Safadi and a number of other officials from the Jordanian delegation were also present at the meeting.
Earlier during his visit to France, the Jordanian king held talks with Pope Francis of the Vatican on the situation in Jerusalem.
