The Malaysian Government will issue a statement on the death of the half-brother of the North Korean leader, Kim Jong-nam, when the time comes, Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak said.
He said that the investigation into Jong-nam case involved negotiations between the governments of Malaysia and North Korea and is extremely sensitive, Malaysian News Agency (Bernama) reported.
"The government's priority in the negotiations is to ensure the safety of Malaysians in Pyongyang and to protect the sovereignty of our country. I hope everyone will be patient," he told a press conference after chairing the Barisan Nasional (BN) Supreme Council meeting.
Jong-nam died after being approached by two foreign women who wiped his face with nerve agent VX while awaiting a flight to Macau at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (klia2) on Feb 13.
