Romanian President Klaus Iohannis sent a cable of condolences to his Egyptian counterpart Abdel Fattah El Sisi following Friday's terrorist attack on a mosque in North Sinai, which left more than 300 persons dead.
Such fierce, extremist acts cannot be justified, Iohannis said in the cable, a copy of which MENA received from the Romanian Embassy here Monday.
Iohannis reiterated firm commitment to fighting international terrorism and extremism.
He condoled with the Egyptian people and families of the victims for the death of worshippers.
Iohannis also wished the injured a speedy recovery.
