The Russian Foreign Ministry and Kremlin denied on Thursday any plans to meet with Carter Page, who served as an adviser to US President-elect Donald Trump's campaign.
"No, frankly speaking, we have had no contacts… and have no such plans," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov also said: “No, I have no comments on this. As of this morning, there are no plans to hold meetings in the foreign ministry.”
Page arrived in Moscow earlier in the day. He told Sputnik he was planning to meet with businessmen and "thought leaders."
