President Abdel Fattah El Sisi said on Wednesday that he is looking forward to further cooperation between Egypt and Finland in all fields.
Sisi made the remarks during his meeting with Finnish Foreign Minister Timo Soini on the sidelines of the World Youth Forum, currently held in Sharm El Sheikh.
President Sisi reviewed the positive developments with regard to Egypt’s economic reform program and ongoing projects in the country, presidential spokesman Bassam Rady said in a statement.
Sisi also asserted Cairo’s keenness to benefit from Finland’s experience in the education field.
Meanwhile, the Finnish foreign minister said his country was keen to participate in the World Youth Forum taking into consideration the event’s contribution to boosting inter-cultural dialogue as well as enhancing values of tolerance, coexistence and acceptance of others.
Soini also lauded Egypt’s efforts to help preserve security and stability in the Middle East in addition to its effective measures to confront terrorism and stop illegal immigration.
The meeting also touched on means of bolstering bilateral cooperation between the two countries in several fields in addition to several regional and international issues of mutual concern.
