Supply and Internal Trade Minister Ali Moselhi probed with a delegation representing the US Embassy here aspects of bilateral cooperation and the economic reform program adopted by the Egyptian government to overcome budget deficit and push forward production process.
During the meeting held at the Supply Ministry headquarters, Moselhi stressed that the cabinet adopted an integrated social care program to serve low-income people in addition to the subsidy system.
The minister noted that President Abdel Fattah El Sisi decided to increase money allocated for subsidized bread to EGP 85 billion after increasing subsidy on ration cards from 21 to 50 pounds per individual which represents 140 percent increase.
