An Emirati national was sentenced to 10 years in prison by the State Security Division at the Federal Supreme Court here today after being convicted for joining an erstwhile terrorist organisation and taking up a leadership role.
The court also placed the man, identified as A.K.B, under observation for three years after he serves his jail term.
In another case, the court sentenced an Emirati (H.S.K) to seven years in jail for joining a terrorist outfit, running its office and promoting its views.
In a separate case, the court handed a three-year jail term to an Arab suspect, identified as S.H.A, on charges of writing slogans of the Daesh terrorist organisation and also writing offending phrases against state officials on walls and tunnels.
