The head of Berket El Sabaa district denied press reports speaking about a disruption in train traffic on Cairo-Alexandria line on Monday, saying train movement is normal and there is no suspension.
Train traffic on Cairo-Alexandria line was disrupted on Sunday due to a malfunction in one of the Cairo-bound train's locomotives, Samir Atris said in press statements.
The train was delayed for one hour until another locomotive was recalled, he said.
Passengers of the train were transported via buses to their destination, he added.
