Turkish police raided Istanbul’s Yıldız Technical University campus and houses early Friday after prosecutors ordered the detention of 103 academics in an investigation targeting followers of US-based Turkish scholar Fethullah Gülen, who is accused by Ankara of orchestrating an attempted coup in July, The Daily Mail reported.
According to Turkish media outlets, 70 academics had already been detained in simultaneous raids across the city by police.
