Head of the Parliament's African Affairs Committee Moustafa el Gendy said on Friday that Uganda Parliament Speaker Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga will visit Egypt soon to launch the Egyptian-Ugandan parliamentary friendship association.
This came during Gendi’s visit to Uganda where he handed over an invitation from Speaker of the Egyptian House of Representatives Ali Abdel Aal to the Ugandan parliament speaker to visit Egypt.
In a press release, Gendy said that Kadaga welcomed the invitation, adding she will set a date for the visit soon.
Gendy added that the Egyptian leadership, government and people are keen on fostering bilateral relations with Uganda in the various fields.
Meanwhile, Kadaga hailed Egyptian Armed Forces’ efforts aiming at confronting terrorism, as well as Egypt’s leading role in Africa, especially under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
