The US government has taken unprecedented security measures to protect Tuesday's presidential election from cyber attacks, according to media reports.
At least 48 states asked the Department of Homeland Security to verify the safety of their voter registration systems ahead of Election Day.
A number of U.S. security agencies such as the National Security Agency, CIA and the Department of Defense are working to ensure the security aspects of the voting process and protect it from any cyber attack.
In October, Washington had accused Moscow of interfering in the US elections and being responsible for the hacking of the Democratic Party servers.
