Dior unveils its Cruise 2014 collection

Dior presented its Cruise 2013/14 collection in Monaco this weekend. Raf Simons chose Monte Carlo as "a nod to where the cruise collection originally catered for and the vital notion of where the house is heading to" and the fashion house’s close historical ties with Grace Kelly must have played a part in the decision too. The son of the actress-turned-Princess, Prince Albert, and his wife Princess Charlene of Monaco, sat front row, rubbing shoulders with Jessica Biel, Liv Tyler and Marion Cotillard. The collection itself blended archive shapes with a sporty vibe, and for the first time Raf Simons worked his magic on the most classic of fabrics: lace.
