Three Palestinians killed in an Israeli artillery bombardment on the eastern outskirts of Gaza City, medical sources said Thursday.
Palestinian local radio quoted the sources as saying that a number of houses in the Al-Shaja'ia neighborhood were knocked down by the bombardment which killed the three people, including a young girl.
According to witnesses, ambulances rushed to the scene to transport Palestinian victims to Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City.
Meanwhile, Ezz-Eddin Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas said that they fired one missile at Haifa city.
The northern city was targeted with R-160 locally made rocket, Al-Qassam said in a statement.
The statement noted the attack comes in response to Israeli aggression to Gaza Strip.
The Brigades added that they also targeted Ashkelon city with five Grad rockets, and Netivot city with five rockets from the same type.
Meanwhile, Israeli military spokesman told Israeli radio that one Israeli was killed in Ashkelon due to the rocket firing from northern Gaza.
The spokesman added a rocket fired from Gaza Strip hit a house in Netivot town has also inflicted serious damage to the number of neighboring houses.
