Hamas movement on Thursday expressed readiness to dissolve the administrative committee in Gaza strip immediately if the national unity government took over full responsibility of the coastal enclave.
In a statement, member of Hamas' political bureau Salah al Bardawil called for the immediate cancellation of all punitive measures imposed on Gaza as a result of forming the governmental administrative committee
Bardawil reiterated keenness of Hamas political bureau chief Ismail Haniyah on reaching a reconciliation based on clear and right grounds.
He also called for launching an immediate national dialogue to form a national unity government in addition to activating the role of the Palestinian legislative council to carry out its responsibilities.
He stressed the immediate need for presidential, legislative and national council elections in addition to holding an urgent meeting of the temporary PLO leadership to take binding decisions.
He also affirmed that Hamas is committed to its national responsibility and all signed agreements that aim at achieving Palestinian unity.
Earlier, Hamas formed an administrative committee in Gaza strip to run governmental institutions after accusations that it is assuming its responsibility towards Gazans.
