The Palestinian Foreign Ministry on Tuesday welcomed a report by Human Rights Watch uncovering the racial discrimination practices by the Israeli occupation authorities against the Palestinians in Al Quds city.
In a released statement, the ministry said the report focused on cancelling residence permits of thousands of Palestinians in the city and depriving them from the right to citizenship.
These practices are violation of international law and humanitarian international law, added the statement.
The Israeli occupation authorities are also imposing other restrictions on the Palestinians in the city, including excessive preconditions to maintain their residence permits, added the statement.
The ministry expressed astonishment over the silence of the international community regarding such facts that were made clear by a major organization like Human Rights Watch.
The ministry urged the international community to shoulder its responsibility towards the Palestinian people.
