Lower House speaker, Atef Tarawneh, said that what is happening in the Middle East region is a result of the failure of finding a solution to the Palestinian cause.
Tarawneh made his remarks, on Wednesday, as he met with Turkey’s ambassador in Amman, Murat Karagoz, and discussed with him the latest developments in the Middle East region, namely, the Syrian crisis, fighting terrorism and bilateral ties.
Studies center which affiliated to the Lower House monitored the Israeli violations, as well as, the racist legislations passed by the Israeli parliament “the Knesset”, which amounted to 156 laws and draft laws, of which 25 were endorsed in their final from by the Knesset, Tarawneh said.
Tarawneh called on Turkey to add the Palestinian cause to the Inter-Parliamentary Union’s agendas.
The Turkish envoy highlighted the key role of Jordan under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II in protecting Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem, voicing his country’s support to the Kingdom to grapple common challenges facing the two countries.
