Two soldiers and 25 militants were killed during a coordinated attack at a number of border security forces check posts in Afghanistan's Alisher District of Khost province.
More than two hundred militants took part in the attack that started last night and continued until about 06:00 am in Babrak Tana area today, Khaama Press reported.
Mobariz Zadran, from the media office of Khost province says that two soldiers embraced martyrdom and five others wounded by enemy fire.
He added that 25 militants were killed and more than 20 others wounded by security forces shots.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
