A Taliban leader and three other militants have been killed in a joint military and police operation carried out in eastern Nangarhar province, according to Khaama Press news agency.
A statement released by the 201st Selab Military Corps in the country’s east said that Qari Rafiullah, a prominent leader of Taliban, was killed during operation Shaheen 13 in Koz Behar area of Khogyani District on Monday.
Also, two other militants have sustained injuries in the operation, according to the statement.
Operation Shaheen 13 has been jointly launched by military, police and personnel from the National Directorate of Security (NDS).
