Yemeni forces kill 4 al-Qaeda militants in Abyan

Yemeni army forces attacked Al-Qaeda locations in southern Abyan governorate and killed four militants, the Defense Ministry said Saturday. Army troops bombarded with heavy artillery, tanks and jet fighters Al-Qaeda locations in Sanah area killing four Al-Qaeda militants and injuring many others, said the ministry in a statement. It added that the rest of the militants escaped and left behind large quantities of weapons, ammunitions and equipment. Meanwhile, Yemeni political parties that signed the GCC initiative voiced their support to the government's campaign against Al-Qaeda in the southern governorates of Abyan and Shabwa
