Yemeni Local Administration Minister Abdul Raqeeb Fateh discussed with UN Undersecretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs Mark Lowcock the humanitarian situation in war-torn Yemen, the Yemeni news agency (SABA) reported Friday.
Fateh, who also acts as the chairman of the Higher Committee for Relief in Yemen, tackled with Lowcock the importance of activating the role of the UN organizations according to the principle of decentralization of relief work.
They also stressed the role of civil society organizations to help ensure the delivery of humanitarian assistance to the needy persons in all Yemeni governorates.
