HH Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al-Thani, the Special Representative of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, expressed his full satisfaction with the unprecedented achievement by the Qatari Youth football team who won the Asian Football Cup (AFC Youth Championship), with the support of HH the Father Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, and of HH the Emir.
Speaking on this occasion HH Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al-Thani stressed that HH the Emir is the patron of the sport and athletes, and that the Qatari Sports family is beholden to him on all of what has been achieved and what can be achieved in the future.
He noted that the direct support of HH the Emir made this victory possible, considering it to be a new episode in the Qatari achievements' series, after ranking the First among Arab Countries in the 2014 Incheon Asian Games.
Concluding his statement, HH sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al-Thani extended thanks to all those who contributed to this achievement in Qatar Football Association and Aspire Sports Excellence Academy and thanked especially the athletes' parents who gave a lot in the earlier stages.
He stressed that the real achievement can be completed by retaining this group for the longest possible period to be the nucleus for the formation of a national team that is capable of continuing the successes.
