Morocco stands good chances of hosting the World Cup in 2026, said, Wednesday in Marrakech, FIFA President, Joseph S. Blatter. “Morocco was close to the organization of the World Cup in 2010 and stood good chances then,” Joseph S. Blatter told the press, expressing confidence that for the 2026 World Cup, Morocco will have even better cards to play.” FIFA President, who attended the second semi-final of the FIFA Club World Cup opposing Raja Casablanca and Brazilian Atletico Mineiro, said he was impressed by the exceptional atmosphere of the large stadiums of Agadir and Marrakech, and welcomed the organization of this competition on African soil.
