FIFA secretary general Jerome Valcke said Thursday that the World Cup venue of Curitiba should be delivered at the "end of April, start of May, which is very late". "By February 18 (the start of a week of crucial workshops planned by FIFA ahead of the June 12-July 13 tournament) it will be impossible to say when the stadium will be ready exactly," Valcke told a news conference. "We are working on a delivery for the end of April, start of May, which is very late. We need daily updates." Valcke on Tuesday had warned the venue faced missing out on the World Cup, where it will stage four games, owing to lagging preparations. Source:AFP
