However, despite the recent blip in form, Friedel is confident that Spurs’ season will not derail and that they can “still finish above” Arsene Wenger’s side. “We're not over-reacting. We’ll see in nine games times and we're not concerned at all [about Arsenal]. They won't win every game, will they?” he told reporters after the game, "If you look at the last four results, only one of those wasn't a Tottenham performance and that was Arsenal away. And Man United, I felt football wise we played really well. “It's definitely not doom and gloom. It's definitely not a pressure situation where the lads are losing confidence and things like that. I've seen that many times and that's not what I’m seeing right now." Next up for Spurs is a trip to Stamford Bridge for Saturday’s early kick-off, and the 40-year-old is confident of getting a result against Roberto di Matteo’s Chelsea – as long Redknapp’s side continue to play the attacking football that has served them so well for the majority of the season. “We'll get prepared for Chelsea and we will go into the Chelsea game very confident, expecting to get a good result,” Friedel continued. “I think it’s vital we play well in every one of our last games. "I don't think it's about holding your nerve. I think it's about going out and enjoying yourself and expressing yourself, because those are the types of players we have. “We'll continue what by and large we've been doing all season long. We've been playing good football without getting the results we want so you can't hold your head down. “You can play very poorly and win a game and nobody says anything. We’ve been playing really good football without getting the result we want.” The American stopper also discussed how the cardiac arrest suffered by Bolton’s Fabrice Muamba put the trials and tribulations of football into perspective, as well as the 23-year-old’s “unbelievable” recovery up to now. “Football's not pressure. It might be for some but football's not pressure. I’ve got three kids and that’s far more pressure,” Friedel joked. "Football's fun. If you want to heap the pressure on, then that's you as an individual. “You play football as a game, we want to go out and we want to win but I think we all saw last weekend what pressure was. “We can only do so much, it’s down to Fabrice and how strong he is as a fighter, and if you look at the statistics of what he went through, it’s so against the odds to [survive] it’s unbelievable, from where he was to where he’s at. “I’ve yet to come across anyone who has a bad word to say about the lad.”
