German international striker Mario Gomez said on Wednesday hewould be fit for the World Cup finals later this year despite his first season withSerie A club Fiorentina being disrupted by injury.The 28-year-old -- scorer of 25 goals in his 59 international appearances -- is out ofaction for a second time this season with akneeproblem.However, Gomez, who last played for Germany in the 3-3 draw with Paraguay lastAugust, insisted he would be back ready to play in Brazil in June."I am convinced that I will be in top form for June and July," he told Sky's Germanchannel."I will start to do some endurance training in the next few days."I still have enough time to return to my best form," added the former BayernMunich star, who hopes to be fit for the Italian Cup final against Napoli on May 3.Gomez, who suffered ligament damage in his right knee in mid-September, whichsaw him miss the next five months, has scored four times in 15 matches since joiningFiorentina for a fee believed to be 20 million euros ($27.5mn).
