London - Arabstoday

Wolves midfielder Jamie O’Hara believes the club can avoid relegation, and has stated that the entire squad will be behind the new manager. Former boss Mick McCarthy was sacked on Monday following a 5-1 home thrashing at the hands of West Brom. The Molineux club currently lie just inside the drop-zone, on goal difference, despite being level on points with Blackburn and QPR, who sit in the two places above them. O’Hara told the Express & Star: "There are five teams down there who maybe haven't had good seasons - but I don't think our performances have been that bad. "There have been games like the West Brom one, obviously, but in others we haven't had the rub of the green. "I still think we can do it. We need to pick up our home form, which has been dire, and if we do that and carry on taking points away from home we can stay in the league." The 25-year-old also promised that whoever the new boss is he will have the full backing of him and the players. Former West Ham boss Alan Curbishley and former Sunderland manager Steve Bruce are the early favourites to fill the vacancy. "We've got to move on as a club and a team and stick together and see what happens," he said on the search for a new boss. "I am sure we will all find out what's happening with the new manager over the next few days. "Whoever comes in we will all get behind him and give him 100 per cent and try and get out of trouble."
