Defender of the Algerian football team Carl Medjani said that the second round’s match against Germany, to be held Monday at Beira-Rio de Porto Alegre Stadium (9.00 p.m. local time), will be a “bonus” for the Desert Foxes, who have snatched a historic qualification for the second round of the World Cup 2014.
“After this beautiful qualification, I think that we will have nothing to lose in this round against Germany. Our objective was reached by achieving the second round. It doesn’t mean that will play without motivation, on the contrary, will do everything to make another feat,” said Medjani.
Thanks to their draw Thursday against Russia (1-1) at Curitiba Stadium, Algeria is now among the 16 best nations of the world cup.
“If there will be someone who should be under pressure, it is rather Germany than us,” he added.
