Gerard Pique believes that nobody can touch Barcelona when they are on their game. The Catalan giants are five points behind Real Madrid in their quest to win a fourth straight La Liga title, but they emphasised their superiority in El Clásico by making it back-to-back come-from-behind wins on their arch-rivals’ patch with a 2-1 success in the first leg of their Copa del Rey quarter-final on Wednesday. “Very few teams go to the Santiago Bernabeu and win like we did,” said the 24-year-old centre-back. “That’s what sets us apart.” Barça have now won five and drawn two of their last seven visits to Real in all competitions, and Pique attributes this success to Pep Guardiola’s method of using the same tactics home and away. "We have implanted our style for several years and we always apply it,” said the former Manchester United man. “It doesn't matter where or who we play.” The four-time European champions, who overwhelmed Santos 4-0 to seal FIFA Club World Cup glory last month, have won 12 and drawn one of their last 13 games in all competitions. And Pique is confident that, if Barcelona can maintain their current form, they can go on and triumph again in La Liga and the UEFA Champions League, where Bayer Leverkusen await them in the last 16. "When we are ourselves, there's no team that can stop us,” said the Spain international. “If we play like we are playing now, we can win titles and be the best team in the world once again.” Pique emerged from the youth ranks at La Masia and though he made his professional breakthrough at Old Trafford, he is delighted he rejoined Barcelona in 2008. "I'm proud and happy to belong to this team,” he said. Bacelona are at eight-placed Malaga on Sunday, while Real Madrid host an Athletic Bilbao side that has gone five games unbeaten to rise to fifth.
