Barcelona defender Gerard Pique has tried to put his side's stunning start to the season in perspective, although he is keen to see the Catalan side keep their winning run going. Tito Vilanova's men made it four wins from four with a 4-1 thrashing of Getafe last night and sit eight points better off than bitter rivals Real Madrid in the table. Lionel Messi scored twice off the bench for Barca while David Villa and Adriano were also on target in a one-sided display, although Pique was quick to remind his team-mates the season has only just got off the ground. "We played a good game," he said on www.fcbarcelona.com. "The conditions weren't the best because we were coming off of playing matches for our respective national teams and we had a couple of players missing due to injury. But the field was in good condition, the pitch was perfect. We dominated the game. "We've only played four games, this (the gap over Real) isn't that important. We're feeling good, though. We've won four out of four games. We have to continue like this." Team-mate Xavi feels their 100 per cent league record puts them in good stead for the midweek UEFA Champions League match at home to Spartak Moscow. "We played football really well, we dominated from the start," said the Spain midfielder. "Getafe closed themselves off at the back but we played at a high level and we deserved the win. We played with a lot of intensity and tension, we dominated possession, we didn't commit silly fouls and we didn't lose the ball needlessly. We've matured, the team played really well today. "I'm very excited about the Champions League and I'm very eager. We start off at home and we have to win. We're very motivated, we've won all the points in the Liga so far and we want to start off our Champions League campaign with a victory." FIFA
