Egypt is adopting a political approach that gives priority to Africa, the Nile Basin countries in particular, said Egyptian Ambassador here Namira Negm.
In statements to MENA on Saturday, Negm urged Egyptian businessmen to invest in Rwanda, a country that has a good anti-corruption profile.
She said that visits by Egypt's top two sports teams, Al Ahly and Zamalek, to Rwanda, in one month will positively affect bilateral relations at the political and economic levels, besides sports.
Sports teams contribute a great deal to strengthening relations between countries, Negm said.
She told MENA that Al Ahly played the Rwandan army team and won 2-0.
Hopefully Zamalek would also beat Rayon Sports of Rwanda and qualify for the round of 16 of the Confederation Cup, Negm said.
