Wydad of Casablanca will not have to wait for the last playing day of the group stages to book a ticket for the semi finals of the Orange Champions League. The Moroccan team will just have to win its encounter on Sunday against Al Ahly. Swiss born Michel Decastel who is coach of WAC is aware of the task ahead.Cafonline.com : WAC will be facing Al Ahly for a place in the semi finals. Victory will signify qualification but a draw or defeat will mean you will have to wait till the last playing day.Michel Decastel : It will be a difficult game because Ahly will be playing to win. If they are defeated they it will be hard for them to qualify for the last four. I am wary of a team that knows how to travel and play well. I followed their encounter in Tunis against Esperance. They were defeated yes, but they created so many opportunities and sincerely they did not deserve to lose. Within our team there will two absentees, Ahmed Ajedou and Fabrice Ondama. It’s never easy to replace regulars but we have to do without them. Luckily for me the team is talented and has what it takes to bring out the best result.Cafonline.com: Many of your players have recently been on national duty with the National or Olympic squad and could not take part in the full preparation. Does this really pose a problem to you? Michel Decastel : Not at all. That is the problem with teams that have the cream of players who are members of national team. The players who have been with the national team will have time to recover before the encounter on Sunday. We would have to do our best against the Egyptians.Cafonline.com: Meeting a team of Al Ahly’s status usually represents a unique challenge. What will you be telling your team? Michel Decastel : In front of an opponent of such caliber it is the determination and concentration of every player that makes the difference. The mental aspect is very important. I am very sure that we will be very concentrated on the day. We will have what it takes to beat Al Ahly. I am also counting on the huge experience of our International goalkeeper Nadir Lamyaghri to help the side. We cannot also underestimate the support of the fans. Winning this match represents a chance for qualification for the semi finals. We have our destiny in our hands. From/ CAF
