Dr. Hanif Hassan Al-Qassim, Chairman of the Geneva Centre for Human Rights Advancement and Global Dialogue Board of Management, has stressed that the initiative of Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, on launching the Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak International Holy Quran Contest for girls, and her honouring as the Islamic personality of the year, are rich tributes to the Arab women in general and Emirati women in particular.
He hailed the role played by H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union (GWU), Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF) and President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, at the local, Arab and international levels, citing her huge achievements in the history of humanitarian work and women empowerment worldwide.
Dr. Hanif added that the personality of the "Mother of the Nation" is a pioneer role model in terms of originality, as she contributed to the development process alongside the founding father of the UAE, late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan He praised Sheikha Fatima's role in the humanitarian and charitable fields, which have become a work method and roadmap to achieve successes and achievements at various levels, both domestically and internationally.
