Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry headed for Iraq Wednesday for talks with officials there on bilateral ties and regional and international issues of mutual concern.
The talks will also focus on efforts to counter terrorism and extremism.
Shoukry is scheduled to meet with Iraqi President Fouad Maasoum, Vice President Iyad Alawi, Prime Minister Haidar al Abadi, Foreign Minister Ibrahim al Jaafari and parliament speaker Selim al Jabouri.
