A court sentenced on Thursday 31 members of the Muslim Brotherhood group to three years in prison over riots in Mansoura governorate.
They were arrested in early 2012 over charges of instigating violence against security forces, attacking police vehicles, and belonging to an outlawed group.
In December 2013, the government declared the Muslim Brotherhood a 'terrorist organization', blaming it for a string of attacks in the country and banning all its activities nationwide, including their regular protests.
Most leaders along with thousands of members of the group have been tried and sentenced so far.
