A four-wheel-drive car, parked in the industrial area of Umm Al Quwain, caught fire on Friday morning.
The central operations room of the UAQ Police, having been alerted of the fire, dispatched traffic police, ambulances, paramedics and rescue teams to the site.
Official sources with the UAQ Civil Defence told Khaleej Times that the car caught fire in the industrial area at around 8am.
The flames first started in the engine of the car, and then spread to the entire car.
"The car was totally destroyed in the blaze," they added. "However, none was injured in the incident."
Investigations are on to identify the reasons behind the fire, they said. "The case has been referred to the legal authorities concerned for legal action."
