An Arab League Council extraordinary session at the level of Arab foreign ministers kicked off on Monday, upon a request of Kuwait, to discuss the conditions in Syria, particularly in Aleppo city.
Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Abul Gheit and a number of Arab foreign ministers attended the meeting.
The meeting is also expected to discuss the humanitarian situation in the Syrian city.
Earlier, Arab League Council at the level of permanents envoys held an urgent meeting on Thursday to discuss the situation in Aleppo.
