Kuwaiti Ambassador to the UN Mansour Ayyad Al-Otaibi, also Vice-President of the General Assembly, late Monday presided over the Assembly meeting and conducted its work. Assembly President Nasser A. Al-Nasr of Qatar has 21 Vice-Presidents, including Ambassador Al-Otaibi and the representatives of the Security Council's five Permanent members - US, UK, France, Russia and China. While Al-Nasr was occupied with other matters, Ambassador Al-Otaibi was assigned to preside over the Assembly meeting where he gave the floor to the Foreign Ministers of China, Morocco, Germany, Oman and Syria to deliver their countries' speeches in front of the 193-member body during its 66th session.
