Algeria has no intention to float any initiative to settle the current crisis between Qatar and some Arab countries, said Algerian Foreign Minister Abdelkader Messahel on Wednesday.
At a joint press conference with Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry, Messahel said Algeria does not intervene in the internal affairs of any country and does not allow any country to meddle with its affairs.
Messahel is currently on a visit to Egypt as part of a regional tour.
Algeria is confident that countries involved in the crisis are capable of finding a solution, he said.
There is already a Kuwaiti initiative to solve the crisis and Algeria backs solutions that are reached by neighbors or at national level, he said.
Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and the UAE severed diplomatic relations with Qatar on June 5, accusing it of sponsoring and funding terrorism.
Qatar strongly denied the allegation and has rejected a list of conditions set by the four countries to lift sanctions.
