The General Secretariat of the Arab League (AL) said Sunday an emergency meeting of Arab foreign ministers would be postponed till Thursday.
The meeting, which was set for Wednesday, is scheduled to discuss the situation in Jerusalem and Al Aqsa Mosque.
Spokesman for the AL Secretary General Mahmoud Afifi said the meeting would be held Thursday to ensure the participation of the largest number of Arab foreign ministers.
He added that the decision was taken upon contacts made around the clock.
He added that coordination was made with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), which agreed to hold its ministerial meeting to address the same issue next week.
