Thousands of Eastern Province students will get to explore 25 different career paths during the Rawabi Talent Exhibit being held at Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz Science and Technology Center (SciTech) through March 10. The exhibit is targeting students from Saudi and international schools in the Eastern Province. Sponsored by Rawabi Holding Co., the event hopes to motivate young people by providing career guidance from experts in the respective fields and discussing the requisite skills needed in different disciplines. The company also will be offering short internships to interested students to give them familiarity with real-world workplaces. “Rawabi’s program provides students with workshops on work ethics, discipline, presentation skills and other important job skills which will be useful to students wherever they wind up working,” said Zarb bin Saeed Al-Qahtani, who represented the Eastern Province Governorate at the exhibit’s opening ceremonies Monday. Rawabi Holding Chairman Abdul Aziz Alturki commended his company’s corporate social responsibility unit for organizing the event. “The program provides students with workshops on work ethics, discipline, presentation skills, and other important job skills, which will be useful to students wherever they wind up working,” Alturki said. For many students the event is providing an important bridge between their dreams and the realization of those aspirations. “I have a much stronger understanding of all the professions, and it made my decision much simpler,” said one young man attending the opening. “I think our country needs more talent exhibits like these because many of the young people here need proper guidance and a clearer understanding of what lies ahead in the future.”
